Again:13 Soldiers Wounded, many missing as Boko Haram attacks troops in Borno

The Army Acting Director of Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, says 13 soldiers have been wounded, while many are missing after Boko Haram attacked the troop’s location at Gashigar, border area with Niger Republic, northern Borno State on Monday October 17th. Usman made this known in a statement released on social media. The statement reads;

Woman offered us N500,000 to kill her husband in Lagos- Suspect says

A plumber identified as Bright Ikechukwu has narrated how a 41-year-old woman named Mrs. Chika Orji contracted him and two others to allegedly kill her estranged husband. 

According to The Nation, Ikechukwu who came to Lagos from Delta state for the job, said they were offered drinks and Kola nuts and promised N500,000 to kill the man. 

The suspect who was arrested while trying to steal from the apartment, said himself and two of his colleagues had gone to the man’s house at Jakande Estate, Ajah, on four occasions but didn’t succeed in stabbing him as they planned to do.

Nigerian Lamborghini driver arrested in singapore for reckless driving after video of his dangerous driving goes viral

A 45-year-old Nigerian Lamborghini driver was arrested for reckless and dangerous driving in Singapore on Tuesday, October 11th.

The incident which occurred on October 1, was recorded by an in-car camera and the footage went viral after it was uploaded online last week. There was a narrow gap - barely a car's width - between the two vehicles travelling on the expressway. Yet the blue Lamborghini blatantly squeezed through, almost causing an accident, while cutting across the lane before speeding off into the distance.

Nigeria Customs Service dismisses 17 officers for drug addiction, certificate forgery and theft

Seventeen (17) Junior officers of the Nigeria Customs Service have been dismissed from the Service for offences ranging from drug addiction, certificate forgery, theft and absence from duty from January to September 2016.

A statement issued on Sunday, October 16th, by the public Relations Officer, Wale Adeniyi, said that the appointment of two other officers have been terminated for absence from duty while one Officer was retired for drug addiction.

I was made to sign a confessional statement at gunpoint- Justice Adeniyi Ademola revealed

Justice Adeniyi Ademola who was among the judges that were arrested and detained last Saturday by agents of the Department of State Security, says he was made to sign a confessional statement at the DSS office with a gun pointed at him.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ademola alleged that the sting operation carried out by DSS at his home in Abuja, was a personal vendetta against him masterminded by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

Over 36 drivers sent to Psychiatric hospital for beating traffic in Abuja

No fewer than 36 drivers in Abuja have been sent to psychiatric hospitals for proper examination after they beat traffic lights. Deputy Director / Chief Press Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Sule, made this known in a press statement released yesterday October 10th.

“The FCT Police Command in collaboration with officers of the FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services have so far arrested 36 motorists for beating traffic lights in the Federal Capital Territory and have been subjected them to psychiatric evaluation at the Karu Psychiatric Hospital.
