Breakthrough in search for HIV cure as scientists successfully treat infected man

Scientists have been able to treat a man with HIV to the level where the virus is now undetectable in his blood, leading hopes that a cure for HIV could have been found.

The 44-year old Briton is one of the 50 persons undergoing HIV treatment trials being conducted by researchers from the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, University College London and King's College London. The treatment targets HIV even in its dormant state.

The woman was sentenced to be stoned for committing adultery in the ISIS controlled area of northern Syria this past Friday according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The sentence was carried out by a group of gunmen in the small town Raqqa.

After the identified woman was pelted by heavy stones and thought dead by her executors, she stood up and began to walk away. When one of the jihadi attempted to capture her again, he was stopped by an Islamic jurist.
